Legacy MediaHub License Agreement
Last updated: 3 November 2026
This agreement is between you and Legacy Communications Inc., Monrovia, Liberia ("Legacy", "we"). It covers the Legacy MediaHub desktop application for Mac and Windows ("MediaHub"). By installing or using MediaHub you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not install or use MediaHub.
1. What you may do
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use MediaHub under the plan you are on:
- Personal is free. You may install it on as many of your own computers as you like.
- Creator and Broadcaster are paid plans unlocked with a license key. Each key may be active on one computer at a time. You may move a key to another computer by deactivating it on the old one, or by using "Move license here" (limited to two moves in 30 days).
- A business may use a key for its staff, as long as each key is active on only one computer at a time.
2. Free trial
New installations include 14 days of Broadcaster features at no charge. When the trial ends, MediaHub continues as the free Personal plan. Your files and library are not affected.
3. Yearly and Lifetime plans
- Yearly plans renew automatically each year until you cancel. You can cancel any time; the plan stays active until the end of the year you paid for. Updates are included while the plan is active.
- Lifetime plans are paid once and do not expire. They include all updates within the same major version (for example, every 1.x release). A future major version may be offered as a paid upgrade.
4. Payments
Card payments on our website are processed by our online reseller, Paddle.com, who is the Merchant of Record for those orders and handles billing, tax and receipts. Paddle's own buyer terms also apply to those orders. Mobile Money and bank payments are made directly to Legacy Communications Inc. Prices are shown in US dollars. See our Refund Policy.
5. License checks
To confirm a paid key, MediaHub contacts our license server when you activate it and about once a month afterwards. MediaHub keeps working offline between checks, with a 14-day grace period. If a key is refunded, charged back, shared in breach of this agreement, or found to be fraudulent, we may turn it off, and MediaHub returns to the Personal plan. What is sent during these checks is described in our Privacy Policy.
6. What you may not do
- Share, publish, sell or rent your license key, or use one key on more than one computer at a time.
- Remove, bypass or tamper with the license checks or the trial.
- Copy, modify, reverse engineer or redistribute MediaHub, except where the law expressly allows it despite this restriction.
- Use MediaHub to break the law or to infringe anyone else's rights.
7. Your media
MediaHub works on files on your own computer and network. Your files stay yours, and we never receive them. You are responsible for having the rights to the media you play, convert, edit or send to air. Tools such as the health check, loudness correction and Send to Air help you prepare files, but you remain responsible for what you broadcast.
8. Third-party software
MediaHub includes open-source components, distributed under their own licenses, which this agreement does not limit. In particular, MediaHub includes FFmpeg, a separate program licensed under the GNU General Public License version 3, which MediaHub runs to read and convert media. You may obtain the FFmpeg source code from ffmpeg.org, or ask us for the exact source we ship at the address below. A full list of components and licenses is included with MediaHub in the file THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt.
9. No warranty
MediaHub is provided "as is". We work hard to make it reliable, but we do not promise that it will be free of errors or that it will suit every purpose. Always keep backups of important media and check files before broadcast.
10. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, Legacy is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost revenue, missed broadcasts or lost data. Our total liability for any claim relating to MediaHub is limited to the amount you paid for MediaHub in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in this agreement limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.
11. Ending this agreement
You may stop using MediaHub at any time. If you seriously break this agreement, we may end your right to use the paid plans. Sections 7 to 12 continue to apply after this agreement ends.
12. General
This agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Liberia. We may update it; the date at the top shows the latest version, and significant changes will be announced on this page before they take effect.
