Is this the final public release?
This is Release Candidate 1, provided for evaluation before the final signed and notarized release. Features are substantially complete, but testing feedback may lead to refinements.
Does the player upload my media?
No. Playback, libraries, frame captures, compatibility copies, and saved moments remain local to your computer. Online access is used only when you choose smart lyric or artwork matching.
What happens when a codec is not supported?
The player can create a separate cached H.264/AAC compatible copy using its included media engine. Your original file remains unchanged.
When will the Mac build be available?
The Mac RC1 download is temporarily unavailable while we correct an opening issue and produce a signed and notarized DMG. Please do not use the previous Mac installer. We will restore the download only after the replacement has been verified.
Is an Intel Mac version available?
RC1 currently targets Apple Silicon. Intel Mac support is planned based on tester demand.
